A Journey I am Grateful For
I’ve always believed the best stories aren’t posed, they’re lived. That’s why my photography and videography focus on capturing moments as they happen: the unscripted laughter at a wedding, the quiet pride of a small business owner at work, the energy of a community event. It’s about documenting what’s real, and it’s a privilege to do that here in the Ozarks and beyond.
Over the past year, I’ve had the chance to work with some incredible people and organizations. I’ve photographed events with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, partnered with the Republic Area Chamber of Commerce to showcase local businesses, and captured CrossFit Republic athletes pushing their limits. From weddings to commercial shoots, I’ve collaborated with venues, planners, and entrepreneurs who trust me to tell their stories authentically.
One of my proudest moments came recently when I won an Addy Award from the American Advertising Awards for a photograph from this past year. Also being featured in Neighbors of South Springfield and (fingers crossed!) soon in 417 Magazine has been humbling too. But what matters most isn’t the recognition, it’s knowing those projects connected with people, whether it was a couple reliving their big day or a business owner seeing their vision on screen.
Right now, I’m leaning more into videography, exploring a rebranding shift to CS Media Co. to reflect that passion. My goal stays the same: to listen, to plan with you, and to capture what makes your moment or mission special. Whether it’s a family shoot, a commercial video, or an event, I’m here to help tell your story, no staging required. If you’re in the Ozarks or planning something worth traveling for, let’s chat, I’d love to be part of it. Ready to capture your story? Reach out at coreystephensphoto.com
